Non-Singing Roles
Seeking non-equity actors for two non-singing roles:

Diversity in Casting
Characters’ races aren’t specified outside of Billie (who’s white), but the cast should be racially diverse. Performers of all ethnicities, sexes, gender identities, gender expressions, ages, sexual orientations, and types, as well as performers with disabilities, are invited to take part in any audition.
What to Prepare
- Bring a headshot and résumé to the auditions if you have them.
- Acting: Please prepare a short (1-2 minute) monologue from a modern stage play or musical. You may also be asked to read from sides, which you can find below to prepare.
- Singing: If you’re auditioning for a singing role (all roles outside of Noah and Matt), please prepare two contrasting modern musical theatre songs. You may be asked to sing only one and may only be asked to sing an excerpt.
- Dance/Movement: If you’re auditioning for a singing role (all roles outside of Noah and Matt), please wear character-appropriate clothing that allows you to move for a basic dance/movement call.
- Virtual Auditions: For those submitting a video audition, please film your monologue, your choice of sides, and your two songs. You can submit a dance video if you’d like or just describe your experience and skill level with dance/movement on the audition form.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you allow walk-in auditions?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Yes, but you may have to wait to be seen. We recommend scheduling a time.
What if I can't make the audition date/time?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
No problem! You can submit a video audition instead. If that’s not possible either, you can fill out the audition form, select “in-person audition,” and choose the option that indicates you can’t make the listed times or submit a video. We’ll contact you to see if we can set up another audition time or a Zoom audition.
Are there roles for actors who don't sing or dance?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Yes! Two roles are available: Pastor Noah and Matt. Please see the character descriptions above for more information.
When does the show go up?

The production will run August 28-Sept. 6, 2025 at the MATCH in Houston. There will also be a preview performance of a couple of songs from the show on June 21st, as part of Thunderclap’s New Works Festival. Not all performers will be needed for that, so we’ll work around who’s available.
Is this paid?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Yes, all cast and crew are paid, though this is a non-union (non-equity) production. See the “Pay” section above for rates.
Can minors audition?
Your Subtitle Goes Here
Yes, minors can audition for the production. However, any actors under 18 who are cast in the production will need to have their parent/guardian sign their contract.
