Board Service

Board of Directors Service

Thunderclap Productions is a production company dedicated to producing new and lesser known plays, musicals, and films.  As a 501(c)3, all major decisions are governed by a board of directors, consisting of three or more people.  Board meetings occur 2-4 times per year.  A large number of decisions are made by email as well, so board members are expected to respond to all emails regarding Thunderclap as soon as possibly and within 48 hours.  Board members are expected to pay at least $50 per year in dues.  Board members are responsible for making decisions for the company, including all financial and programming decisions.  Board members also volunteer their time to assist the company in various capacities throughout the year.  The type and amount of volunteerism varies by board member, but responsibilities may include research, coordinating or otherwise participating in the mounting of a production, fundraising, recruitment, participating in productions (acting, directing, etc.), budgeting, and more.  The board includes a president (currently Aaron Alon), secretary (currently Justin Doran), and treasurer (currently Tamara Siler).  Board members agree to abide by the terms of the Bylaws and sign an annual affirmation of this agreement.

Advisory Board Service

Thunderclap Productions is a production company dedicated to producing new and lesser known plays, musicals, and films.  As part of its mission, Thunderclap relies upon industry professionals who serve on its advisory board.  Advisory board members are listed on the Thunderclap website and are occasionally called upon to answer questions or advise.  There are no dues or meetings for advisory board members and the time commitment is minimal.  We ask that advisory board members reply to email or phone requests for information or advice within 48 hours.  Most advisory board members are typically consulted no more than once a quarter.
